California High School Basketball - Carlmont nips Encinal
December 30, 2008: Alameda, CA 94501 Fans at Tuesday's non-league test between the Carlmont Scots (Belmont, CA) and the host Encinal Jets (Alameda, CA), witnessed Carlmont's basketball squad tip Encinal by a margin of 44-38.
The Scots (11-2) will now prepare for their test against Burton (San Francisco, CA). The Pumas go into the non-league test with a 2-12 record. In their last test, Burton was tipped by Wallenberg (San Francisco, CA), 59-42, in a league test.
The Jets now own a 1-9 record. They take the field next when they host St. Elizabeth for a non-league test on Saturday, January 3. Encinal will clash with a Mustangs squad coming off a 70-35 non-league win over Trevor Day (New York, NY). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-6.
