Hudson Pirates (Hudson, IA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting South Hardin (Eldora, IA), 49-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Hudson upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Dike-New Hartford (Dike, IA) to play the Wolverines in a North Iowa Cedar - East bout on Friday, December 9. The Wolverines come into the bout with a record of 2-1. Dike-New Hartford won 55-50 in their recent league bout against Aplington-Parkersburg (Parkersburg, IA)
