In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Las Animas Trojans basketball team scored a tight 45-42 triumph over the Holly Wildcats.

In their next game, the Trojans confront the Crowley County Chargers (Ordway, CO) in a 2A Santa Fe match, on Friday, February 20. Las Animas will attempt to better on its 6-12 season record. The Chargers enter the match with a 6-12 record after their 64-50 non-league loss to Hoehne (Hoehne, CO).

With the defeat, Holly moves to 9-9 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Manzanola (Manzanola, CO) to confront the Bobcats in a 1A Arkansas Valley match on Friday, February 20. The Bobcats enter the match with a record of 6-9. Manzanola won 68-64 in their recent non-league match against Cheraw (Cheraw, CO)
