North Carolina High School Basketball - Central Academy of Technology and Arts overwhelmed by Central
January 11, 2017: Monroe, NC 28112 The Central Eagles basketball team scored 41 points and restricted the host Central Academy of Technology and Arts Cougars to 15 in the Eagles non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Eagles now sport a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Buford for a AA Region IV contest on Friday, January 13. Central will battle a Yellowjackets team coming off a 72-40 league win over North Central (Kershaw, SC). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 3-7.
The Cougars (1-9) will now prepare for their contest against Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC). The Tigers come into the Rocky River 2A contest with a 7-9 record. In their last contest, Mount Pleasant was routed by Monroe (Monroe, NC), 58-20, in a league contest.
