Kansas High School Football - South edges Winfield
September 30, 2005: Winfield, KS 67156 South Titans (Wichita, KS) fans were pleased Friday as they witnessed their football team edge the host Winfield Vikings (Winfield, KS), 13-7 in a non-league game.
The Titans (2-3) will now prepare for their game against Heights (Wichita, KS). The Falcons enter the Greater Wichita City game with a 4-1 record. In their last game, Heights edged North (Wichita, KS), 34-6, in a league game.
Next up, the Vikings meet the Hutchinson Salt Hawks (Hutchinson, KS) in a non-league game, on Friday, October 7. Winfield will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Salt Hawks enter the game with a 3-1 record after their 42-6 league win over South (Hutchinson, KS).
