Connecticut High School Volleyball - Newtown over Weston
October 19, 2018: Newtown, CT 06482 Newtown Nighthawks (Newtown, CT) supporters left the game in high spirits Friday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Weston Trojans (Weston, CT), 3-1 in a non-league match.
Next up, the Nighthawks battle the Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT) in a Southwest-Colonial match, on Monday, October 22. Newtown will attempt to advance on its 14-4 season record. The Panthers come into the match with a 5-10 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Immaculate (Danbury, CT).
With the loss, Weston drops to 11-7 on the campaign. The Trojans host Bunnell (Stratford, CT) to battle the Bulldogs in a Southwest-Colonial match on Monday, October 22. The Bulldogs come into the match with a record of 5-12. Bunnell lost 3-1 in their recent league match against Bethel (Bethel, CT)
