In Saturday's non-league outing, the Malibu Sharks (Malibu, CA) basketball squad beat the host Sun Valley Wildcats (Sun Valley, CA), by a margin of 79-61.

The Sharks (4-7) will now prepare for their outing against Crossroads (Santa Monica, CA). The Roadrunners go into the non-league outing with a 5-4 record. In their last outing, Crossroads was beaten by St. Bonaventure (Ventura, CA), 71-52, in a non-league outing.

The Wildcats now own a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Vaughn for a Valley outing on Wednesday, January 9. Sun Valley will encounter a White Tigers squad coming off a 59-49 non-league win over Varsity Opponent (, ). The White Tigers record now stands at 7-1.
