October 10, 2014: Slippery Rock, PA 16057 The Slippery Rock Rockets (Slippery Rock, PA) football routed the visiting General McLane Lancers (Edinboro, PA), 34-0 in Friday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Rockets face the Sharon Tigers (Sharon, PA) in a District 10 Region 3 AA bout, on Friday, October 17. Slippery Rock will attempt to move on its 7-0 season record. The Tigers enter the bout with a 5-2 record after their 40-0 non-league win over Northwestern (Albion, PA).
The Lancers (4-3) will now prepare for their bout against Cathedral Prep (Erie, PA). The Ramblers enter the District 10 Region 6 AAA/AAAA bout with a 7-0 record. In their last bout, Cathedral Prep walloped St. Francis (Athol Springs, NY), 49-14, in a non-league bout.
