New York High School Basketball - Moriah overwhelms Peru

Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Moriah Vikings (Port Henry, NY) and the visiting Peru Indians (Peru, NY), saw Moriah's basketball squad wallop Peru by a count of 91-29.

With the victory, Moriah upgrades its record to 9-0 on the campaign. The Vikings host Franklin Academy (Malone, NY) to play the Huskies in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 13. The Huskies come into the challenge with a record of 8-3. Franklin Academy won 72-62 in their recent league challenge against Gouverneur (Gouverneur, NY)

Next up, the Indians play the Ticonderoga Sentinels (Ticonderoga, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 18. Peru will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record.
