The Alief Elsik Rams (Houston, TX) basketball felled the visiting Cy-Woods Wildcats (Cypress, TX), 70-59 in Friday's non-league test.

The Rams (10-11) will now prepare for their test against Nimitz (Houston, TX). The Cougars go into the 5A Region III District 18 test with a 8-5 record. In their last test, Nimitz defeated MacArthur (Houston, TX), 66-50, in a league test.

The Wildcats now own a 6-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Langham Creek for a 5A Region III District 17 test on Tuesday, January 3. Cy-Woods will clash with a Lobos squad coming off a 54-44 non-league win over Kingwood (Kingwood, TX). The Lobos record now stands at 10-6.
