Illinois High School Basketball - Zion-Benton fells Lakes
December 23, 2014: Zion, IL 60099 Zion-Benton Zee-Bees (Zion, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Lakes Eagles (Lake Villa, IL), 74-65 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Zion-Benton upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Zee-Bees travel to Mundelein (Mundelein, IL) to play the Mustangs in a North Suburban - Lake bout on Tuesday, January 6. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 0-10. Mundelein lost 82-62 in their recent non-league bout against Winnebago (Winnebago, IL)
Next up, the Eagles play the North Chicago Warhawks (North Chicago, IL) in a North Suburban - Prairie bout, on Tuesday, January 6. Lakes will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Warhawks go into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 64-41 league loss to Vernon Hills (Vernon Hills, IL).
