West Virginia High School Basketball - Lincoln County nips Riverside
January 22, 2011: Belle, WV 25015 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Lincoln County Panthers (Hamlin, WV) and the host Riverside Warriors (Belle, WV), saw Lincoln County's basketball squad hold off Riverside by a score of 62-59.
With the victory, Lincoln County improves its record to 3-7 on the campaign. The Panthers host Hurricane (Hurricane, WV) to battle the Redskins in a Mountain State challenge on Monday, January 24. The Redskins come into the challenge with a record of 1-11. Hurricane lost 78-34 in their recent league challenge against George Washington (Charleston, WV)
Next up, the Warriors battle the Nitro Wildcats (Nitro, WV) in a Mountain State challenge, on Wednesday, January 26. Riverside will attempt to advance on its 2-8 season record. The Wildcats go into the outing with a 1-10 record after their 70-48 league loss to Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV).
