Deer Valley Wolverines (Antioch, CA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Buchanan Bears (Clovis, CA), 67-60 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Deer Valley upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Wolverines host California (San Ramon, CA) to battle the Grizzlies in a non-league battle on Monday, December 14. The Grizzlies come into the battle with a record of 1-3. California lost 44-39 in their recent non-league battle against Mt. Eden (Hayward, CA)

The Bears (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Inderkum (Sacramento, CA). The Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Inderkum was nudged by Burbank (Sacramento, CA), 70-60, in a non-league battle.
