California High School Basketball - Chavez tops Grant
January 18, 2017: San Fernando, CA 91340 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Chavez Eagles (San Fernando, CA) and the visiting Grant Lancers (Van Nuys, CA), saw Chavez's basketball squad knock off Grant by a tally of 64-54.
With the victory, Chavez improves its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Eagles host Poly (Sun Valley, CA) to play the Parrots in a East Valley challenge on Friday, January 20. The Parrots come into the challenge with a record of 3-12. Poly won 54-50 in their recent league challenge against Monroe (North Hills, CA)
Next up, the Lancers play the Arleta Mustangs (Arleta, CA) in a East Valley challenge, on Friday, January 20. Grant will attempt to improve on its 10-8 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 45-26 league loss to North Hollywood (North Hollywood, CA).
