The Carolina International School Comets held off the host Gray Stone Day Knights basketball team by a tally of 69-65 in Thursday's non-league battle.
The Comets now possess a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mountain Island Charter for a PAC 7 1A battle on Tuesday, December 18. Carolina International School will confront a Raptor team coming off a 73-63 league loss to Community School of Davidson (Davidson, NC). The Raptor record now stands at 0-3.
The Knights (1-5) will now prepare for their battle against South Stanly (Norwood, NC). The Rowdy Rebel Bulls come into the Yadkin Valley 1A battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, South Stanly was nudged by North Rowan (Spencer, NC), 61-57, in a league battle.
