January 17, 2018: Cibolo, TX 78108 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Wagner Thunderbirds (San Antonio, TX) and the host Steele Knights (Cibolo, TX), saw Wagner's basketball squad overcome Steele by a tally of 71-63.
With the victory, Wagner improves its record to 20-5 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds host East Central (San Antonio, TX) to confront the Hornets in a 6A Region IV District 27 challenge on Friday, January 19. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 9-14. East Central lost 99-95 in their recent league challenge against Canyon (New Braunfels, TX)
Next up, the Knights confront the Clemens Buffaloes (Schertz, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 27 challenge, on Friday, January 19. Steele will attempt to improve on its 22-2 season record.
