December 28, 2011: Jackson, MS 39206 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Callaway Chargers (Jackson, MS) and the visiting Hazlehurst Indians (Hazlehurst, MS), saw Callaway's basketball squad overcome Hazlehurst by a count of 65-51.
With the victory, Callaway upgrades its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Canton (Canton, MS) to battle the Tigers in a non-league battle on Thursday, December 29. The Tigers come into the battle with a record of 10-4. Canton won 54-27 in their recent non-league battle against Bailey Magnet (Jackson, MS)
The Indians (2-7) will now prepare for their battle against Crystal Springs (Crystal Springs, MS). The Tigers come into the 3A Region 7 battle with a 3-11 record. In their last battle, Crystal Springs dropped by South Pike (Magnolia, MS), 43-40, in a non-league battle.
