The Marvin Ridge Mavericks volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Sun Valley Spartans to 0 in the Mavericks league victory on Tuesday.

The Mavericks now possess a 36-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Charlotte Catholic for a 3A Southern Carolina game on Thursday, October 11. Marvin Ridge will meet a Cougars team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 17-6.

The Spartans (12-6) will now prepare for their game against Piedmont (Monroe, NC). The Panthers enter the 3A Southern Carolina game with a 8-13 record. In their last game, Piedmont was dropped by Weddington (Matthews, NC), 3-1, in a league game.
