Lafayette Lions (Lafayette, LA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Carencro Bears (Lafayette, LA), 53-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Lafayette upgrades its record to 17-3 on the season. The Lions travel to Pineville (Pineville, LA) to play the Rebels in a 5A District 4 bout on Tuesday, February 10. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 6-11.

Next up, the Bears play the Jeanerette Tigers (Jeanerette, LA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 9. Carencro will attempt to upgrade on its 10-5 season record.
