Illinois High School Basketball - Saint Viator nips Gurnee Warren
December 5, 2015: Gurnee, IL 60031 Saint Viator Lions (Arlington Heights, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Gurnee Warren Blue Devils (Gurnee, IL), 58-55 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Saint Viator upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Lions travel to Carmel (Mundelein, IL) to play the Corsairs in a East Suburban Catholic bout on Friday, December 11. The Corsairs go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Carmel won 80-53 in their recent non-league bout against Montini (Lombard, IL)
Next up, the Blue Devils play the Stevenson Patriots (Lincolnshire, IL) in a North Suburban - Lake bout, on Wednesday, December 9. Gurnee Warren will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 63-46 non-league win over Glenbard South (Glen Ellyn, IL).
