California High School Volleyball - Truckee tips El Capitan

August 31, 2018: Merced, CA 95348

The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Truckee Wolverines (Truckee, CA) and the host El Capitan Gauchos (Merced, CA), saw Truckee's volleyball squad nip El Capitan by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Truckee upgrades its record to 4-1 on the year. The Wolverines travel to Bishop Manogue (Reno, NV) to play the Miners in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 1. The Miners go into the bout with a record of 3-0. Bishop Manogue won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Chico (Chico, CA)

The Gauchos now own a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Central Valley for a Central California Conference bout on Wednesday, September 5. El Capitan will play a Hawks squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Buhach Colony (Atwater, CA). The Hawks record now stands at 1-3.
