Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Jeannette crushes Derry
January 27, 2010: Jeannette, PA 15644 Jeannette Jayhawks (Jeannette, PA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Derry Trojans (Derry, PA), 60-7 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Jeannette upgrades its record to 10-6 on the campaign. The Jayhawks travel to South Allegheny (McKeesport, PA) to play the Gladiators in a WPIAL AA 4 bout on Friday, January 29. The Gladiators come into the bout with a record of 4-11. South Allegheny lost 77-29 in their recent league bout against Shady Side Academy (Pittsburgh, PA)
Next up, the Trojans play the Mt. Pleasant Vikings (Mt. Pleasant, PA) in a WPIAL AAA 3 bout, on Friday, January 29. Derry will attempt to upgrade on its 1-16 season record.
