Game Summary
The Notre Dame Knights of Sherman Oaks (15-2 Overall / 6-0 Mission League) hit the ground hitting, starting the game with a hit batter, followed by two singles and then the four hitter did what clean-ups are supposed to do...when Nick Laface went deep to center field for a grand slam. The four runs in that inning held up as the only scoring until the Wolverines put up two of their own in the bottom of the 4th by way of a reach on an error, followed by three consecutive singles to make the score 4-2 Notre Dame. The visiting Knights added an insurance run in the top of the 7th when Trevor Gee reached on a walk and scored when Nick LaFace put the ball in play, adding an RBI to total all five in his column. Harvard-Westlake added a run of their own in the bottom of the 7th, but it wasn't enough to catch the Knights as first baseman Nik Rodarte snared a hard hit low liner to end the inning ...and the game (with bases full of Wolverines). The final score Knights 5, Wolverines 2.
