Illinois High School Basketball - Kankakee holds off Danville
January 31, 2015: Danville, IL 61832 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Kankakee Kays (Kankakee, IL) and the host Danville Vikings (Danville, IL), saw Kankakee's basketball squad hold off Danville by a tally of 56-51.
With the victory, Kankakee improves its record to 10-10 on the campaign. The Kays host Crete-Monee (Crete, IL) to confront the Warriors in a SICA challenge on Friday, February 6. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 11-8. Crete-Monee won 67-66 in their recent non-league challenge against Lemont (Lemont, IL)
Next up, the Vikings confront the Bloomington Purple Raiders (Bloomington, IL) in a Big Twelve challenge, on Friday, February 6. Danville will attempt to improve on its 4-16 season record. The Purple Raiders come into the challenge with a 7-12 record after their 62-53 league win over Centennial (Champaign, IL).
