California High School Football - Esparto trounces Portola

October 31, 2014: Portola, CA 96122

In Friday's league match, the visiting Esparto Spartans football squad scored a big 54-14 victory over the Portola Tigers.

In their next game, the Spartans clash with the Biggs Wolverines (Biggs, CA) in a Mountain Valley match, on Friday, November 7. Esparto will attempt to move on its 6-3 season record. The Wolverines enter the match with a 4-5 record after their 19-8 league loss to Maxwell (Maxwell, CA).

The Tigers (2-6) will now prepare for their match against Chester (Chester, CA). The Volcanoes come into the Mountain Valley game with a 5-4 record. In their last game, Chester overwhelmed Quincy (Quincy, CA), 9-6, in a league game.
