Georgia High School Football - Rutland tips Callaway
September 29, 2006: Macon, GA 31206 In Friday's league bout, the host Rutland Hurricanes football team scored a close 25-24 victory over the Callaway Cavaliers.
The Hurricanes (1-3) will now prepare for their bout against Lamar County (Barnesville, GA). The Trojans come into the 5-AA challenge with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, Lamar County was tipped by Macon County (Montezuma, GA), 9-0, in a league challenge.
With the defeat, Callaway moves to 1-3 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host Pike County (Zebulon, GA) to clash with the Pirates in a 5-AA challenge on Friday, October 6. The Pirates go into the challenge with a record of 0-5. Pike County lost 33-6 in their recent league challenge against Crawford County (Roberta, GA)
