The Dale County Warriors topped the visiting Ariton Purple Cats basketball team by a final score of 68-54 in Friday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Warriors face the Rehobeth Rebels (Dothan, AL) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, January 30. Dale County will attempt to move on its 15-10 season record.

With the defeat, Ariton moves to 11-11 on the year. The Purple cats travel to Long (Skipperville, AL) to face the Rebels in a 2A Area 5 game on Tuesday, January 30. The Rebels enter the game with a record of 5-17. Long won 54-36 in their recent non-league game against Cottonwood (Cottonwood, AL)
