October 5, 2012: Cottonwood, AL 36320 The Houston Academy Raiders football team (Dothan, AL), was beaten 35-21 in Friday's league challenge with the host Cottonwood Bears (Cottonwood, AL)
The Bears (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Long (Skipperville, AL). The Rebels come into the 2A Region 2 challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last challenge, Long knocked off Wicksburg (Newton, AL), 32-8, in a league challenge.
The Raiders now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Samson for a 2A Region 2 challenge on Friday, October 12. Houston Academy will meet a Tigers team coming off a 30-24 league loss to Providence Christian (Dothan, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 5-2.
