The Hoover Buccaneers basketball team scored 76 points and held the visiting Shelby County Wildcats to 59 in the Buccaneers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Buccaneers now sport a 16-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Minor for a 6A Area 14 contest on Friday, January 4. Hoover will meet a Tigers team coming off a 61-57 non-league loss to Sparkman (Harvest, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 10-6.

The Wildcats (14-4) will now prepare for their contest against Talladega (Talladega, AL). The Tigers enter the 5A Area 8 contest with a 13-4 record.
