The Asheville Cougars basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting T.C. Roberson Rams to 45 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now sport a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Erwin for a Western Mountain 3A contest on Tuesday, January 22. Asheville will battle a Warriors team coming off a 63-54 league win over A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 10-6.

The Rams (2-13) will now prepare for their contest against North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC). The Black Hawks enter the Western Mountain 3A contest with a 11-5 record. In their last contest, North Buncombe was defeated by West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC), 83-73, in a league contest.
