The Robstown Cottonpickers got by the host Ingleside Mustangs softball squad by a count of 3-2 in Friday's league battle.

The Cottonpickers (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Orange Grove (Orange Grove, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 4A Region IV District 31 battle with a 10-5 record. In their last battle, Orange Grove was edged by Miller (Corpus Christi, TX), 6-5, in a non-league battle.

The Mustangs now sport a 9-8 record. They play next when they travel to Aransas Pass for a 4A Region IV District 31 battle on Tuesday, March 13. Ingleside will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 4-2 league win over King (Kingsville, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 3-3.
