Deep Creek Hornets (Chesapeake, VA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA), 56-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Deep Creek upgrades its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Hornets host Princess Anne (Virginia Beach, VA) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 19. The Cavaliers come into the bout with a record of 6-1. Princess Anne won 57-53 in their recent league bout against Maury (Norfolk, VA)
