Asheville Cougars (Asheville, NC) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host T.C. Roberson Rams (Asheville, NC), 52-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, Asheville upgrades its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC) to play the Black Hawks in a Western Mountain Athletic 3A bout on Friday, January 11. The Black Hawks come into the bout with a record of 10-4. North Buncombe won 76-65 in their recent league bout against A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC)

Next up, the Rams play the North Henderson Knights (Hendersonville, NC) in a Western Mountain Athletic 3A bout, on Tuesday, January 8. T.C. Roberson will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 4-8 record after their 62-57 league loss to West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC).
