New Jersey High School Basketball - Middlesex knocked off by South Plainfield
January 13, 2017: Middlesex, NJ 08846 The South Plainfield Tigers basketball team scored 58 points and held the host Middlesex Bluejays to 50 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Friday.
The Tigers now sport a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carteret for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 18. South Plainfield will battle a Ramblers team coming off a 52-50 non-league win over Hillside (Hillside, NJ). The Ramblers record now stands at 11-2.
The Bluejays (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against Metuchen (Metuchen, NJ). The Bulldogs enter the Greater Middlesex - Blue contest with a 5-6 record. In their last contest, Metuchen was knocked off by Dayton (Springfield, NJ), 72-48, in a non-league bout.
