The Vanguard Knights (Ocala, FL) football defeated the host Dunnellon Tigers (Dunnellon, FL), 35-13 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Knights face the South Lake Eagles (Groveland, FL) in a 6A District 5 game, on Friday, September 21. Vanguard will attempt to better on its 4-0 season record. The Eagles come into the game with a 2-1 record after their 45-40 non-league loss to Crystal River (Crystal River, FL).

The Tigers now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Trinity Catholic for a 3A Region 3 game on Friday, September 21. Dunnellon will meet a Celtics team coming off a 36-15 league win over Mount Dora (Mount Dora, FL). The Celtics record now stands at 4-0.
