Coronado Thunderbirds (El Paso, TX) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the visiting Andress Eagles (El Paso, TX), 52-36 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Coronado upgrades its record to 13-4 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds travel to Mountain View (El Paso, TX) to play the Lobos in a non-league bout on Monday, December 29. The Lobos come into the bout with a record of 7-8. Mountain View lost 58-50 in their recent league bout against Riverside (El Paso, TX)

Next up, the Eagles play the Jefferson Foxes (El Paso, TX) in a 4A Region I District 1 bout, on Friday, January 9. Andress will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record.
