Texas High School Softball - Calallen holds off Navasota
February 21, 2009: Corpus Christi, TX 78410 Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Calallen Wildcats (Corpus Christi, TX) and the visiting Navasota Rattlers (Navasota, TX), witnessed Calallen's softball squad tip Navasota by a count of 5-3.
The Wildcats now sport a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to St. Joseph for a non-league match on Saturday, February 21. Calallen will meet a Flyers squad coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Navasota (Navasota, TX). The Flyers record now stands at 0-2.
With the loss, Navasota moves to 1-6 on the season. The Rattlers travel to Santa Fe (Santa Fe, TX) to meet the Indians in a non-league match on Saturday, February 21. The Indians go into the match with a record of 0-1. Santa Fe lost 3-1 in their recent non-league match against Clear Creek (League City, TX)
