Taft got off to a hot start and scored three of the first four goals of the game with James Tautkus '13 netting two nice ones when coming from X. Cooper Del Zotto '12 - back from injury - netted the third for the Big Red off of a strong shot from mid-range.

From there, the Big Red O had too many unforced turnovers, and depite being down only one at the half, were never able to get things going again offensively.
