Walnut Mustangs (Walnut, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Diamond Bar Brahmas (Diamond Bar, CA), 39-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Walnut upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Bonita (La Verne, CA) to play the Bearcats in a non-league bout on Monday, February 6. The Bearcats go into the bout with a record of 4-0.

Next up, the Brahmas play the Rowland Raiders (Rowland Heights, CA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 6. Diamond Bar will attempt to upgrade on its 14-8 season record.
