In Friday's league match, the visiting Center Hill Mustangs basketball team scored a tight 42-36 triumph over the Clarksdale Wildcats.

In their next game, the Mustangs confront the Lake Cormorant (Lake Cormorant, MS) in a 5A Region 1 match, on Tuesday, January 17. Center Hill will attempt to better on its 17-5 season record.

With the defeat, Clarksdale falls to 10-12 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Coahoma County (Clarksdale, MS) to play the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 14. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 15-3.
