The McDowell Titans softball team (Marion, NC), was routed 4-1 in Wednesday's league test with the visiting Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC)

Coming up next, the Cougars encounter the St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A test, on Friday, April 27. Alexander Central will attempt to improve on its 17-4 season record. The Indians enter the test with a 2-18 record after their 14-3 league loss to Watauga (Boone, NC).

The Titans (13-7) will now prepare for their test against Watauga (Boone, NC). The Pioneers enter the Northwestern 3A/4A test with a 7-11 record. In their last test, Watauga tipped St. Stephens (Hickory, NC), 14-3, in a league test.
