Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Richmond Raiders (Rockingham, NC) and the visiting Purnell Swett Rams (Pembroke, NC), saw Richmond's basketball squad knock off Purnell Swett by a count of 37-22.

With the victory, Richmond upgrades its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Raiders host Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC) to play the Patriots in a Sandhills 4A challenge on Tuesday, January 29. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 16-2. Pinecrest won 57-47 in their recent league challenge against Seventy-First (Fayetteville, NC)
