May 17, 2012: Durham, CT 06422 The crowd at Thursday's league match between the Coginchaug Regional Blue Devils (Durham, CT) and the visiting Westbrook Knights (Westbrook, CT), saw Coginchaug Regional's softball squad achieve victory over Westbrook by a count of 11-0.
The Blue Devils now sport a 15-4 record. They take the field next when they host Valley Regional for a Shoreline - Large battle on Friday, May 18. Coginchaug Regional will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 6-0 league loss to North Branford (North Branford, CT). The Warriors record now stands at 5-12.

Game Summary
The CRHS Blue Devils stay on a roll with another Shoreline Conference win, this time over Westbrook. The Devils pitching staff combined for the shutout. Mari Handley started and stymied the Westbrook bats for 5 innings, allowing just 1 hit, no runs, and striking out 9. Lauren Esposito closed the game pitching the final 2 innings and allowed no runs, striking out 4.
