Maryland High School Baseball - St. Paul's loses to Riverdale Baptist
April 18, 2015: Brooklandville, MD 21022 The Riverdale Baptist Crusader baseball team scored 12 runs and limited the host St. Paul's Crusaders to 3 in the Crusader non-league victory on Saturday.
The Crusader (14-5) will now prepare for their match against Potomac School (McLean, VA). The Panthers go into the non-league match with a 10-4 record. In their last match, Potomac School ran past Maret (Washington, DC), 5-1, in a league match.
The Crusaders (6-8) will now prepare for their match against Archbishop Spalding (Severn, MD). The Cavaliers go into the MIAA A outing with a 13-3 record.
Game Summary
Riverdale's bats came alive today in Baltimore as they pounded out 16 hit, (3 doubles & 2 triples) as they won 12-3 over St. Paul's. Leading the hit attach was DH SR Matt Wildrick who was 4 for 4 with 2 triples, double & single, 1 run and 1 RBI followed by JR Adante' Rhodes who went 3 for 3 with 2 double and 4 RBI's. SR Brody Cook was 2 for 5 with 2 RBI's, JR Jon Lozada was 2 for with 2 RBI's. On the mound SR Brody Cook kept St. Paul's guessing as he went 6 strong inning on the hill giving up 4 hits, 2 BB's, 1 earned run while striking out 4.
