January 10, 2012: Coventry, RI 02816 In Tuesday's non-league outing, the St. Mary Academy-Bay View Bengals (East Providence, RI) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Coventry Oakers (Coventry, RI), by a count of 81-35.
The Bengals (8-0) will now prepare for their outing against Cumberland (Cumberland, RI). The Clippers go into the Division I - North outing with a 3-9 record. In their last outing, Cumberland was crushed by Barrington (Barrington, RI), 49-19, in a league outing.
The Oakers now hold a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cranston West for a Division I - South outing on Saturday, January 14. Coventry will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 52-48 league win over Chariho (Wood River Junction, RI). The Falcons record now stands at 5-6.
