Ponder Lions (Ponder, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the visiting Bridgeport Bulls (Bridgeport, TX), 52-44 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Ponder upgrades its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Brock (Brock, TX) to play the Eagles in a 2A Region II District 9 bout on Friday, December 21. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 6-4.

Next up, the Bulls play the Peaster Greyhounds (Peaster, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 21. Bridgeport will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Greyhounds come into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 47-44 non-league win over Mineral Wells (Mineral Wells, TX).
