December 9, 2011: East Providence, RI 02914 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Westerly Bulldogs (Westerly, RI) and the host East Providence Townies (East Providence, RI), saw Westerly's basketball squad trounce East Providence by a score of 68-38.
With the victory, Westerly improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Portsmouth (Portsmouth, RI) to battle the Patriots in a Division I - South challenge on Tuesday, December 13. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 0-0.
Next up, the Townies battle the Narragansett Mariners (Narragansett, RI) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 13. East Providence will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
