Cibola Cougars (Albuquerque, NM) followers went home content Friday as they observed their basketball team notch a victory over the visiting Onate Knights (Las Cruces, NM), 47-34 in a non-league game.

In their next game, the Cougars face the Volcano Vista Hawks (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, March 12. Cibola will attempt to move on its 23-3 season record. The Hawks enter the game with a 19-8 record after their 52-46 non-league win over Sandia (Albuquerque, NM).

With the defeat, Onate moves to 13-16 on the year.
