The Southern Valley Eagles (Oxford, NE) basketball crushed the visiting Chase County Longhorns (Imperial, NE), 57-34 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Eagles (11-1) will now prepare for their test against Broken Bow (Broken Bow, NE). The Indians go into the non-league test with a 4-7 record. In their last test, Broken Bow walloped Gibbon (Gibbon, NE), 42-31, in a non-league test.

The Longhorns now own a 3-8 record. They play next when they travel to Perkins County for a non-league test on Thursday, January 14. Chase County will encounter a Plainsmen squad coming off a 42-32 league win over Sutherland (Sutherland, NE). The Plainsmen record now stands at 8-3.
