Arizona High School Softball - Saguaro gets by Veritas Prep

April 9, 2016: Scottsdale, AZ 85250

The Saguaro Sabercats (Scottsdale, AZ) softball nipped the visiting Veritas Prep Falcons (Phoenix, AZ), 6-5 in Saturday's league bout.

The Sabercats (6-10) will now prepare for their bout against Payson (Payson, AZ). The Longhorns go into the non-league bout with a 9-5 record. In their last bout, Payson held off Blue Ridge (Lakeside, AZ), 8-6, in a league bout.

The Falcons now possess a 4-5 record. They play next when they host Estrella Foothills for a III Section VII bout on Tuesday, April 12. Veritas Prep will confront a Wolves squad coming off a 10-3 league win over Higley (Gilbert, AZ). The Wolves record now stands at 12-11.
